ALBUM LAUNCH!

Dan Hopkins and his band The Generous  Few, are set to release their long awaited LP titled Different Economy.

The album will highlight many years of songwriting and gigging effort, expressing Dan’s love for a variety of blues styles, covering topics such as leaving the ‘big smoke’ for a quieter and more fulfilling life on the mid north coast, the joy of embarking on the journey of raising a young family and some observations on the state of the world we currently find ourselves in.

The band also tip their hat to some of the blues legends they’ve cut their teeth on over the years, including an interpretation of Blind Willie Johnson’s ‘Nobodies Fault But Mine’ and Robert Johnson’s ‘Come On In My Kitchen.’

The album was recorded over the last two years in Dan’s own shipping container solar powered studio ‘the Blues Den’ and has been mixed and mastered by Stewart Peters at Soundshed Studios in Valla.

The band will be launching their release on a Cruise with Cruise Port Macquarie leaving the Pier at 3pm on 29th March 2020.

Special guests on the day will be the powerhouse vocals of Pam Hata and the fabulous blues duo Snake Oil Delirium

feat. Steve Bennett) from Ghost Road.

This will be the last band show for Dan for the next few months as Dan will embark on a solo tour heading toward far North Queensland commencing in April and lasting through til the end of June. This will be the last time you will be able to catch Dan until his return in July.
